Data backup is in the news in the BBC in the context of digital photos.

BBC NEWS | Technology | Digital cameras 'not backed up'(Link) ''About one-third of digital camera users in the UK are not backing up their photographs, reveals research. But at the same time, the survey of 2,227 consumers revealed 89% of those quizzed now own a digital camera or camera-phone. And just under half are taking more than 10 snaps each month.''

10 snaps a month!! I took 30 yesterday!!

Just found a few moments to check into SVN a few changes to LDBackup. Getting rid of all those hard coded strings. The web page is high in Google (search for cross platform backup). A windows installer should be out soon. The build process already builds it but does not yet upload it.

This post is being typed up on my Ipaq using a neat utility called Tengo. There is a free version which gives a fast on-screen keyboard. Really speeds up text entry. Takes a bit of getting used to but within 20 minutes you should be tapping away happily and speedily. Almost an essential app.

Finally, he's not been mentioned on my blog for a long long time though he was often a central topic so I better give Dandy the Spaniel a little moment as he lies wet and tired at my feet this evening. We had another trip to the beach and even started to record a dog-cast (doggy podcast). Just away to listen to our test recording though I bet the wind has snarfed it...
